As the manufacturing community became more automated, it seemed as though this was the answer to the manufacturer's needs. The ability to automate many processes meant more quality, higher production speeds, fewer employees, and lower costs. Unfortunately, in many cases this was not what happened. Joseph Sgro noticed the issue and formed Fast Vision, a company dedicated to producing machine vision systems to address the problem.
With the machine vision systems developed by Joseph Sgro and company, it has become possible for a manufacturer to see exactly what is going on at various points in the automated production process. The ability to watch the process makes it much easier to spot problems. The machine operator is then able to make the necessary adjustments and achieve the results that automation promised.
